1. Strawberry Reservoir: Strawberry Reservoir has been a famous
fishing spot in the west for decades, known for it's amazing ability to
grow huge trout amazingly fast. There's a few different species of fish
living in this reservoir. There's the native Bear Lake Cutthroat trout,
Rainbow trout and the elusive Kokanee Salmon. Strawberry is located in
the Uintah mountain range about 30 minutes south of Heber City and is
very easy to find.
2. Scofield Reservoir: This place has also been a very popular fishing spot in Utah for decades for the size of the trout that are caught here. The species of trout living here are similar to most of Utah`s lakes which are Rainbow, Cutthroat and the cool looking Tiger trout. Scofield is located 60 miles south from Provo and 105 miles from Salt Lake City in the tops of the mountains South East of Solider Summit. The limit for fish here is 8 per day so as you can see this reservoir has a great population of fish living in it.
3. Lake Powell: This lake is probably most famous for it`s water sports and cliff jumping but Lake Powell offers some great fishing year round especially during the spring time. Lake Powell has a variety of fish the most popular being Striped, Large Mouth and Small Mouth Bass and Walleye. The Striped Bass at this lake are so over populated that there`s no limit to the amount that you can keep so catch, keep and enjoy!
